Junior Strider Recipe

Bradley and Casey enjoy making this fun, easy, and delicious treat each year.  They put it into small gift bags to share with teachers, friends, and family and keep a little extra for themselves to enjoy on Christmas Day!



4 cups each of Corn Chex and Rice Chex

Mini Pretzels

Red and Green M&Ms

White melting chocolate 

¼ cup of butter

½ brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon of baking soda

Mix the Corn Chex, Rice Chex, and pretzels in a large bowl, then separate into two bowls.  

Melt white chocolate.  Pour melted white chocolate into one of the chex mix bowls and stir carefully.  

Separately, melt butter and brown sugar in the microwave.  Pour into the other bowl of Chex mix and stir carefully.  Add vanilla and baking soda.  Microware the coated chex mix for 3 minutes stirring every minute.

Spread both bowls onto sheet pans to cool.  Add holiday sprinkles to white chocolate chex. Once cooled, break up big chunks, and mix all the chex together and add lots of M&Ms.
