MVS Hosted Runs

All Runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day begin at 8:00 AM; otherwise, they start at 8:30 AM or at the host's discretion.

Running by yourself is fun sometimes, but running with a group of friends can really keep you motivated and help make the miles float by.

The MVS hosted runs are a great way to run with your old friends and meet new running partners as well.  Hosted by member volunteers, a course is laid out ranging from just a few miles to distances that will get you ready for that target marathon you've decided to run.

The miles are marked, aid on the course is available, and light refreshments await you when you return.  Each runner is asked to bring a "little something" to donate to the refreshment table.

Would you like to host a run? Let the Hosted Run Coordinator know that you want to host a run by selecting one of the open slots available here:

Volunteering

Hosting is a blast.  The responsibility of a host is to open his/her home as a gathering spot, lay out a safe course (usually out and back), put out water on the course, and provide coffee at the finish.

MVS provides mile markers and safety cones, the host provides the venue, and the members provide the fun! As a special incentive, any member who hosts a run will get $50.00!

Click on the event in the list below for more info.  You can get directions, notify the host that you are coming, and add a reminder to your calendar.
