We love going apple picking every fall. We used the apples we picked at Barkers Farm to make this quick and easy pie. It was one of the first recipes mom learned to make as a kid. It tastes great warm or room temperature with or without ice cream. We hope you like it as much as we do!

Swedish Apple Pie

Ingredients:

Apples, peeled and sliced

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup plus 1 Tablespoon sugar

1 cup flour

¾  cup butter, melted

1 egg

½ cup nuts, chopped (optional)

Directions:

  1. Fill a pie pan ⅔ full of peeled, sliced, apples.

  2. Sprinkle 1 T sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon over the apples.

  3. Mix 1 cup sugar, 1 cup flour, ¾ cup melted butter, 1 egg and ½ cup chopped nuts (nuts optional)

  4. Pour mixture over apples.

  5. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
