Dick Hoyt, the anchor of “Team Hoyt” and the champion of son Rick Hoyt, passed away last week at his home in Holland, MA at the age of 80.
As members of the Merrimack Valley Strider community, we know Dick and Rick Hoyt most memorably from our annual Feaster Five Thanksgiving Day Race and we in the running community everywhere will miss him dearly. His legacy will continue to inspire all runners with that “Yes You Can” philosophy.
